The 1961-62 season of the hugely popular CBS legal drama Perry Mason brought Erle Stanley Gardner's iconic and brilliant defense attorney (Raymond Burr) back to television for a fifth year, and witnessed him going head-to-head, yet again, with charismatic prosecutor Hamilton Burger (William Talman) and police officer Lieutenant Tragg (Ray Collins). This particular season featured such baffling cases as "The Case of the Missing Melody," "The Case of the Pathetic Patient," and "The Case of the Injured Innocent."
